VFW Post 280 Inaugural Poker Run

June 27, 2015 ~ Today would be a fun day because I get to spend the day with my dad riding his Harley! I was asked to take a few photos of the VFW Post 280 Inaugural Poker Run and I figured it's only been about 10 years since I have rode with my dad so why not!

The weather was going to be perfect and I would do my best to capture a few pictures of the days events for the VFW Post 280 while enjoying time with my dad!

Jimmy and Don getting details worked out for today's poker locations...
Dale and Vernon waiting for information on where they were helping out!
Jimmy and Don (State Road Captain)

Kim and Marjorie selling raffle and 50/50 tickets!

Riders registering for today's Poker Run...
and filling out several raffle tickets!

It was good to see Jimmy as I was his guardian on a Central Missouri Honor Flight last year!

Cost for this Poker Run was $10.00 per hand and $5.00 for each additional hand. You can donate $10.00 to Central Missouri Honor Flight for an additional card applied to all hands. Prizes were given to best and worst hands.

It was a great day and absolutely perfect weather. Everything about today was great except the seat on my dad's bike as it is not intended for a rider... Oh my buns are hurtin'! Ouchie!!!

Jimmy was really happy the day was perfect...
Dale and Neil tallied up the poker hands as they came rolling in...
and Kim was ready to get the grill fired up!

You couldn't have asked for a better day for a ride. There were a few other Poker Run's and/or rides going on but for their very first Poker Run the VFW Post 280 did a pretty good job! They have listened to ideas/suggestions from those who attended and next year will be even better! Great job guys and thank you to everyone that rode today!
