What I loved about this virtual race (besides what it stood for) is that Frogman Charities was created by a former Navy SEAL, has a great mission and awesome objective while supporting three great Navy SEAL Charities.
Frogman Charities’ Mission is to provide support to military and veteran causes through the Frogman Charities Virtual Run/Walk Program.
Frogman Charities’ Objective is to raise over one million dollars for select military and veteran charities per year.
Frogman Charities Supports The Following Organizations:
After dedicating their lives to protecting the citizens of
the United States and the World, Navy SEAL and Special Warfare
Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC) are returning home only to find
difficulty transitioning into civilian life.
The Foundation for Navy SEAL Veterans
assists Navy SEAL & SWCC Force and Family, active and veteran,
including disabled veterans, with transitioning back into civilian life
and maintaining contacts with former Force colleagues thereafter. The
organization mentors the expertise, contacts and personal and
professional networks of Navy SEAL & SWCC Veterans and others in the
community, forming a network to support Navy SEAL & SWCC Force and
Family.
In addition to Force members, the Foundation provides transition and
follow on assistance to family members, including the dependent spouse
and/or children, whether the Force member is active, reserve, non-active
(veteran), or deceased.
The UDT-SEAL Association is
a non-profit Veterans Support Organization whose members are made up of
U.S. Navy personnel who have served, or are presently serving in the
Naval Special Warfare community.
Those personnel include those who have served in Amphibious Scouts
and Raiders (S&R), Office of Strategic Services-Maritime Unit
(OSS-MU), Naval Combat Demolition Units (NCDU), Underwater Demolition
Teams (UDT), SEAL Teams, SEAL Delivery Vehicle Teams (SDV), Special Boat
Teams (SBT), and Naval Special Warfare Combat Support/Combat Service
Support Technicians.
Thank you Frogman Charities for a wonderful event.... We will never forget!
Officially known as the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum,
the facility chronicles the warriors’ past. The Museum promotes
family-friendly public education through interactive exhibits and
artifacts, allowing patrons the opportunity to explore the history and
heritage of the Navy SEALs, while honoring our fallen at the Navy SEAL
Memorial.
Thank you Don Mann and Frogman Charities for all you have done and continue to do....
You are certainly appreciated! (Love the medal, challenge coin and autographed book)
