Las Vegas 2012 ~ Day 1

November 14, 2012 ~ So as you all know we were heading to Vegas for a special trip to see The Eagles... as in the band! We went to Vegas back in April and missed them by a couple days so for our 15th wedding anniversary I decided we needed to go back only this trip would be way cooler than that.... We would meet Joe Walsh! (Totally awesome!)

One of the first places we headed to was the buffet at The Wynn. It is by far the best buffet and is a must anytime we come to town!  Seriously... it's that good!

As you can see this place is huge! It has just about any type of food you can think of . It is definitely an impressive place and we love the prime rib! (We consumed a ton of prime rib on this trip and the horseradish was hot! It would make your nose run and your eyes water.... man that stuff was good!) They have some amazing food and the service is great! They even have huge crab legs that are cut in half so you just dump the meat out... if crab legs are your thing (not me!).
Brandon loves the candy apples! They have close to 20 different desserts to choose from!
If you ever get to Vegas make sure you go to this place! I even recommend staying there if you can... beautiful! Once we got our bellies full it was time to see some of the sites!
At 7:00 pm we headed over to the Bellagio to see "O" a Cirque du Soleil show. This is the 14th year of this show and it's "An aquatic tapestry of artistry, surrealism and theatrical romance". The show lasted 90 minutes and the seating was good for everyone in attendance. The intro was good and it was amazing to see the many people it took to make a show like this so successful. If you haven't seen a Cirque du Soleil show you should... there are several to choose from and each time we come to Vegas we try to see a couple.
While we were at the show a wonderful lady I meet while Emceeing an event in Columbia saw on Facebook that we were in Vegas and invited us to her show. We took a taxi over to see "Shades of Sinatra". It was great to see Lisa Smith and the guys preform. They were great! (Thank you Lisa for the tickets!)
Since we got up early and traveled for 5 hours (2 hours to the airport and 3 hour flight) we headed back to our hotel and called it an evening. After all we were going to have a jam packed day tomorrow.... when on vacation we don't sleep often as there is too much to see and do! We finally went to bed around 1:30 am!

I love Las Vegas! I seriously could come to Vegas just to people watch as there are some strange critters here! Perhaps they may think we are strange.... If they only knew Midway came to town! Ha!
