We arrived in Albuquerque, New Mexico around 4:00 PM so we didn't have a lot of daylight to see as much as we would like. Since Albuquerque is known for their balloon festivals one of our very first stops was the Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum! Sadly we arrived just as they closed but I managed to grab a few pictures of the outside!
Really wish we could have visited this place as I know there is a lot of history inside!

Since we struck out on finding somewhere cool to tour we figured we would try our luck at the casino! This place was very clean, up-to-date and the funny thing... you couldn't have any alcohol on the game floor! Crazy! The staff was really nice and after we played a few slot machines it was time to try their buffet for dinner! (Sorry I didn't get any pictures of the inside... I was chasing Mommy-Dearest and my momma when they got away from the group!)
So everyone that knows me will know that I am a very picky eater.... Surprise, surprise! The food was good but very different from what I am used to eating. (I mean these people love some green chili!) I did find one thing that I absolutely loved... Watermelon and cantaloupe juice. Now before y'all get to making that crazy wrinkled nose face this stuff was amazing! It was a juice that had no pulp but tasted just like they squeezed a fresh watermelon or cantaloupe. It was amazing! Add a little salt to the mix, close your eyes and it was like a hot summer day!

It was time to check into our hotel for a little shut eye! Little did we know it was the Western Music Association Festival and about 90% of our hotel was the people who traveled in for this! It was fun to see everyone all dressed up in their western wear and singin', pickin' and a grinnin'! Sadly we missed their nightly performances but did hear a few of them practicing!
