This year we had 5 amazing businesses in our community that made it to the finalist round. During Small Business Week each of these companies would give a seminar or presentation on their respective businesses to give us a chance to see what they really do. It it always an amazing and exciting week to be a part of!
It was kicked off with a ribbon cutting on Monday May 6th at Williams Keepers office.
On Tuesday May 7th we heard a presentation from Jacobs Property Management.
On Wednesday May 8th we heard a presentation from JobFinders Employment Services.
On Wednesday May 8th we also heard a presentation from Delta Systems.
On Thursday May 9th we heard a presentation from Tiger Family Chiropractic & Wellness.
On Thursday May 9th we also heard a presentation from Caledon Virtual.
This truly is a fun yet busy week. Each seminar is no longer than an hour long and typically has about 15-30 minutes of presentation and questions/answers and then tours or food and drink. Just a great way for each business to highlight what makes them unique in our community. They talk about things like the early years, their vision, community involvement, services they provide and their employees. The awards lunch is a great way to re-cap an exciting week and one of the five businesses is awarded the 2013 Small Business of the Year Award. Being a finalist is a huge honor and something they each should be very proud of. They have worked hard and one of their peers took time to nominate them which is pretty awesome!
