CMA Watch Party ~ Dolly Parton Imagination Library

November 6, 2013 ~ Who needs rest? We've got a party to throw! (Yep after just getting back from the Central Missouri Honor Flight earlier this morning I had a few hours of sleep but sugars, we ain't got time for that!) Shelly DeVore and I (well as a side note I was volun-told) co-chaired the 3rd Annual CMA Watch Party that would benefit the local Dolly Parton Imagination Library right here in Columbia, MO! We had an amazing team that helped pull this event together!

Now I love me some country music and this event seemed totally up my alley! Cowboy boots, blue jeans and diamonds... You had me at cowboy boots! With this being the 3rd year for this event and our first time co-chairing this event we wanted to make our mark...
Our event was held at the SportsZone next to Holiday Inn Expo Center in Columbia, MO.
I mean seriously, if you are going to watch the CMA's with 100 friends you need a fun place to be with lots of TV's right?

Since this event would directly benefit the Dolly Parton Imagination Library here in Columbia, MO we thought it would be fun to have fairly simple table decorations. We got children's books from Goodwill, Salvation Army and Scholastic Books and wrapped suede and bandana material around them. We used these fun real flowers with baby's breath in mason jars!

A huge shout out to some awesome volunteers from Stephens College! Shelly and I went and begged...er... talked to Cindy Hazelrigg's class and told them about what we were doing and what it was for and how it was totally up their alley! They did an awesome job!

We had some awesome live entertainment by the super talented Clay Cumbie!
(Clay has  shared the stage with Corey Smith, Collective Soul, Luke Bryan, James Otto, Randy Rogers Band, Zac Brown Band, Jonathan Singleton, Chuck Wicks, Dustin Lynch, Justin Moore, Blessid Union of Souls, Hightide Blues, and Kara Dioguardi.)

We had a super fun photo booth to enjoy for the evening thanks to Snapshots Photo Booth and the awesome Carolyn Preul! Be sure to "like" them on Facebook:

Aric Bremer (Zimmer Radio/Classic Clear) was our awesome MC for the evening....

Thank you so much Karen Taylor (DPIL Chair), Sarah Dubbert, Lindsay Lopez, Gene DeVore, Lynda Baumgartner, Anne Farrow, Sheri Radman and  Elizabeth Tate!

Thank you to the staff (especially Kim Craig and Cathy Akins) for all you did to help us put this event on! I know the rest of the team worked behind the scenes to also make sure this event was successful so thank you!

At the end of the night Tim Rich gave each of the committee members a rose for helping with this event and then gave Shelly and I a bouquet of flowers. Such a nice surprise and something we didn't expect to receive at all! Thank you to everyone that sponsored, donated and came out to have fun with us! Mark your calendars for November 2014 for another great party!

I love this man! He always supports anything I set my mind to in life. He doesn't care to go to many events but thankfully we talked him into going to this one! Love ya Brandon Gene!
