Josh & Roni Spicer Materinity Photos

September 23, 2013 ~ Some good friends of ours was due to have their first child on December 5, 2013 and I wanted to play around with taking some fun shots at their maternity photo shoot. I headed up to Moberly and with a few outfit changes, a few locations and a few hours we had some pretty good photos! (Please note I am not a professional photographer.... I have a good camera and just like to pretend I am good... oh and I am free... something that fits my friends budgets!)

I really liked these photos... 

The main photo showed the happy couple at their home 

and I love their genuine smiles!

I loved these pictures too as you could see 

they are ready to meet this very special little girl!

I love taking outdoor photos because of the awesome lighting! 

I loved how these turned out!

This little photo shoot (only about 400 photos) was a lot of fun! Guess it's pretty easy when you are friends with them because I think we laughed about as much time as we took the photos! I am so proud of these guys and think they will make awesome parents!

NASCAR Chicagoland Speedway

September 13, 2013 ~ For our anniversary (yep today is our 16th wedding anniversary!) we took a trip to Chicagoland Speedway for the weekend! We met our buddy John Sutherland up there and had an awesome weekend!

We had a fun weekend full of NASCAR at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois. The layout of this speedway is the exact same as the Kansas Speedway which is really nice and great for autographs! Most of the guys were busy and yet took time to sign an autograph and/or take a picture. I tried hard not to bother them again once I got a signature because I know other people want things from them too. All in all it was a lot of fun... of course I have my favorites and some are just plain grouchy! Oh well...  :)

College Ave Mile Run

September 8, 2013 ~ As many of you know I set a goal to run 13 5k's in 2013. This wouldn't serve as one of those 5k's but rather just be a bonus run! This would take place on College Ave in Columbia, MO and would be a 1 mile run. John Anderson sponsored this event which will raise money for the Anderson Family Charitable Foundation, which provides funding for local causes such as The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri.

 This would be the path we would run....

Finally crossed the finish line! 

Before I walked back to my car (which was a mile back as I parked by the start line) I had John Anderson sign my race bib. Such a nice guy and everyone else liked this idea as they jumped in a line to get their race bibs signed! 

 My final results... 10:41.3
Not the best but you know what... I gave it my all!

Chuck Everitt's 4,000 Point Ambassador Tree

September 4, 2013 ~ Today was a very special day for someone important to me. Chuck Everitt would plant/dedicate his 4th tree for the Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors at Battle High School. Chuck has been in our community for many years and has done so much for so many people. To date, this was the most anyone in the Chamber Ambassadors has ever received... 4,000 points for attending ribbon cuttings.

Nashville, TN here we come!

August 29, 2013 ~ I talked my mom and dad into taking a little trip to see Loretta Lynn and Merle Haggard in Hurricane Mills, TN at her ranch and taking in a little time in Nashville while we were there. Mom talked to Aunt Darlene and Uncle Danny and they wanted to go and then asked Aunt Janie and my cousin Jimi if they wanted to go and they said "heck yes"! So I began to plan our little trip.... a trip to remember for sure!

We rented this beauty from US Rents It and took a few quick pictures before loading up and heading out on the open road! Woo Hoo!
