The General Omar Bradley 5✰ 5K benefits the special teams of the Moberly High School Army JROTC. JROTC mission~motivate young people to become better citizens.

Omar Nelson Bradley (February 12, 1893 – April 8, 1981), nicknamed Brad, was a field commander of the United States Army who saw distinguished service in North Africa and Europe during World War II, and later became General of the Army. From the Normandy landings of June 6, 1944 through to the end of the war in Europe, Bradley had command of all U.S. ground forces invading Germany from the west; he ultimately commanded forty-three divisions and 1.3 million men, the largest body of American soldiers ever to serve under a U.S. field commander. After the war, Bradley headed the Veterans Administration and became Chief of Staff of the United States Army. In 1949, Bradley was appointed the first Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the following year oversaw the policy-making for the Korean War, before retiring from active service in 1953.  Bradley was the last of only nine people to hold 5-Star in the United States Armed Forces.

We had a little time to check out the nice memorial area at Rothwell Park.

One last picture before it was time to get this race started!

After much laughter, chatting about life and enjoying quality time together this guy comes along.... with a jam box in his backpack and it's exactly what we needed... a little motivation!

Here's a fun video to show you what kind I people I roll with....
Of course I wouldn't trade them for the world!

Time: 1:04:15
You know what... we didn't care about the time we just enjoyed the morning together! Woo Hoo!
