Another great win helping a great cause!

Yesterday (Tuesday October 12th) my 2010 Leadership Columbia Alumni class met for our monthly luncheon. We always have a great time visiting with each other since we have all graduated and sometimes we have up to 15 people show and sometimes 10 based on everyone's busy scheudle. Yesterday we met at Shiloh's downtown because they were having a "Free the Cougar" event which is created to raise money for a scholarship for someone right here in Boone County. We all purchased raffle tickets and yep you guessed it.... yours truly won a $50 Bleu Resturant Gift Certificate and a VIP Tasting and Tour for 10 people to Les Bourgeois Winery! It truly was a great day with great people for a great cause!
This is our group that showed up yesterday!

A little time with the girls...

On October 8, 2010 a few of us girls decided we needed to have a little get together so Lindsay Young-Lopez opened her beautiful home to Shelly Devore, Barb King and I (Sarah Dubbert couldn't make it). As most of you know I don't drink so she was kind enough to make me some pink lemonade! We all brought a little something to snack on and just visited. It was wonderful and we all had the best time just being in each other's company! What a great evening with great friends!

It's A Boy!

On October 6, 2010 my mom, dad and I got to go to the ultrasound with my sister, Ashley, and her husband, Greg, to find out the sex of their little bambino! I was pretty sure it was a girl until the ultrasound tech said it's a boy! My mom and dad had never seen an ultrasound and was amazed at the technology. Greg was happy but he was grinning from ear to ear when he was told he was going to have a son! The ultrasound lady wouldn't let me video part of the baby and there was a perfect moment I wish I had gotten.... Tater Tot (the baby) was getting his head measured and his little left hand was messing with his left ear! It was just so neat to see this on the ultrasound monitor to see what he's doing while he's camped out for the next 4 months! Everyone is so happy and can't wait to see him! Congratulations Ash and Greg and thank you for letting us be a part of this day!  Love, Aunt Shell :)
